iphone, ipod and ipod touch firmwares....

so, maybe you've been wondering around how to upgrade that apple gadget of yours...its bad especially they are charging on upgrading the firmware of ipod touch...hehehehe...

but before doing this, please read the DISCLAIMER at the bottom...

so, you got the firmware, how to flash it to ur apple gadget?

here's how:

upon downloading the firmware, make sure the extension name is .ipsw which will look like this:

iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

most of the time, the extension will change to .zip upon downloading (this usually happens when you are using a download accelerator:

iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.zip

and itunes wont recognize it.

how to change the extension name?

suppose that you have change the extension name of the file, time to go for the next one:


i suppose that you got itunes already installed on your pc,

open up itunes and let it recognize your device
when the firmware is outdated, it will ask you to update it. hit cancel.

now, PRESS DOWN SHIFT THEN CLICK ON RESTORE, this will allow you to restore using the firmware that you have downloaded, choose the file and let it restore.

and viola! you have restored/upgrade your device...


OOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

restoring/updating will loose all jailbreak and unlock data on your device. i should ask permission first from the moderators if they will allow me to publish it here. for now, enjoy this firmwares.
